PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide 3D-(3,5/4)-trihydroxycyclohexane-1,2-dione hydrolase, 5-deoxy-D-glucuronic acid and a method for producing the same; and also to provide a method for producing a -lactone derived from 5-deoxy-D-glucuronic acid. PSOLUTION: 5-deoxy-D-glucuronic acid is produced by hydrolysing 3D-(3,5/4)-trihydroxycyclohexane-1,2-dione with 3D-(3,5/4)-trihydroxycyclohexane-1,2-dione hydrolase. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
