PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical air cleaning structure which has simple constitution using a fluorescent tube as it is and provides high air cleaning performance by increasing a contact opportunity between air to be treated and a photocatalyst.;SOLUTION: An air cleaning unit for a light source implement includes: a photocatalyst-carried flow passage body 1 which is obtained by causing the photocatalyst to be carried by a cover shape support; and an air flow generating means 2 for circulating the air to be treated in the photocatalyst-carried flow passage body 1. The flow passage body 1 is removably formed so as to cover the light emitting surface of a light source 9. The air flow generating means 2 is attached/detached to/from the end part of an electrode part 8 so as to generate an air flow from one electrode part 7 to the other electrode part 8 in the light source 9.
