PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-theft system capable of taking anti-theft countermeasures by using an on-vehicle equipment connected via a communication line, its control method, an anti-theft device and an on-vehicle equipment.;SOLUTION: The anti-theft system comprises an anti-theft device mounted on a vehicle, and an on-vehicle equipment which is connected to the equipment to be controlled including the anti-theft device via a communication line and capable of controlling the equipment to be controlled. The anti-theft device comprises an abnormality detection means for detecting an abnormality on the theft, and a transmission means for transmitting the switching signal for indicating the switching to the controlled mode to the on-vehicle equipment when detecting the abnormality on the theft and transmitting the anti-theft signal for anti-theft countermeasures. The on-vehicle equipment comprises a reception means for receiving the switching signal and the anti-theft signal, and a control means which is switched to the controlled mode to be operated under the control of the anti-theft device when receiving the switching signal, and executes the processing corresponding to the anti-theft signal when receiving the anti-theft signal in the controlled mode.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
