METHOD FOR TESTING ABILITY OF VISIBLE-RAY CYTOTOXICITY EXPRESSION, AND USE OF THE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for testing the ability of visible-ray cytotoxicity expression of a tested substance, etc.;SOLUTION: The method comprises the first step of contacting a tested substance to mammalian-derived cultured cells, the second step of culturing the mammalian-derived cultured cells contacted with the tested substance under irradiation with visible rays within 12 h after initiating the contact, the third step of collecting the mammalian-derived cultured cells cultured in the second step and measuring the count of the collected living cultured cells or an indicator value correlated with the count, and the fourth step of evaluating the presence or absence of or the extent of the ability of visible-ray cytotoxicity expression of the tested substance based on the result of the third step to test the ability. As a positive control for this method, benzo(a)pyrene, Acridine Yellow, Acridine Orange, proflavin or dimethyl-benzoanthracene or the like is used.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
