PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forepoling device which can easily insert a forepoling member without causing upsizing of the same, and can improve the direction control ability of the forepoling member, and to provide a forepoling method.;SOLUTION: The forepoling device for an underground structure has the forepoling member 4 to be inserted into the natural ground 2 where construction of the underground structure is scheduled, when the underground structure is constructed, and bears an upper load by the forepoling member 4. To cut the natural ground 2, a wire saw 5 is extended from behind to engage with a front edge of the forepoling member 4, and a pressing means 6 for pressing the forepoling member 4 frontward is arranged behind the same, followed by providing a wire saw driving means 7 for driving the wire saw 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
