PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently extract an address character string from electronic text data. PSOLUTION: Address dictionary data and an address character string acquisition program are stored in a recording medium of a user PC 10 connected to a network 11. The user PC 10 can be connected to various Web servers 12, 13 or the like via the network 11. Various digital contents are carried in the Web servers 12, 13. The user can see these contents with the user PC via the network 11. When the digital content in the Web server 12 contains text data, and the text data contains address character string information, the address character string program refers to the address dictionary data so as to extract the address character string information in the text data.
