PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric resonator, an oscillator, filter, high frequency module and method of adjusting a resonant frequency of the dielectric resonator in which a dedicated step for forming a member for resonant frequency adjustment is not required, further, the resonant frequency can be precisely adjusted and also greatly changed in a short time and moreover, the resonant frequency can be adjusted in both directions to be decreased and increased.;SOLUTION: A dielectric resonator 1 comprises a dielectric substrate 2, electrode plates 3A, 3B including openings 30A, 30B, and a first electrode 4 and a second electrode 5 disposed within the opening 30A (30B). The first electrode 4 is disposed at a position where the strength of an electric field becomes maximum, along an electric power line thereof, and the second electrode 5 is disposed at a position where the strength of a magnetic field becomes maximum, so as to shield a magnetic power line thereof. By removing the first electrode 4 with laser light, the resonant frequency can be increased and by shaving the second electrode 5, the resonant frequency can be decreased.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
