PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable accurate characteristic evaluation regarding a ceramic element body baked in a reduction atmosphere while avoiding the dispersion of a glass component and the oxidization of the ceramic element body.;SOLUTION: The characteristic evaluation is executed by forming electrodes 3, 4 in a state that an insulator or an organic substance does not substantially exist on the surface of the ceramic element body 2 baked in a reduction atmosphere. Vapor deposition, sputtering, or plating or the like is used as a method for forming the electrodes 3, 4.
