PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic elevator abnormal vibration diagnostic device and method capable of early identifying the cause of abnormal vibration of a hydraulic elevator to shorten time to investigate the cause.;SOLUTION: Load inside a car, ride comfort and the temperature of hydraulic elevator working fluid are detected. By comparing the detected data with reference data to evaluate the detected data, it is determined whether or not abnormal vibration occurs. When abnormal vibration is determined, the car is moved to the uppermost floor. After the position of the car is maintained for predetermined time until working fluid adhered to a surface of a plunger is dropped downwardly, diagnostic operation to lower the car is performed. During the diagnostic operation, the load inside the car, ride comfort and the temperature of the hydraulic elevator working fluid are detected again, to determine the abnormal vibration by using these detected data. Based on the result of the determination, it is determined whether or not the detected data indicate abnormal vibration caused by stick-slip vibration of the plunger.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
