PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling method by which an asymmetrical wide flange rough shape billet which is free from bend can be manufactured efficiently and at high yield.;SOLUTION: In the method of rolling the asymmetrical wide flange rough shape billet, an asymmetrical dog-bone-shaped billet 10, 20, 30 is formed by reducing a width of flat rectangular billet 50 by edging calibers G1-G3 by making the bottom diameters of the edging calibers G1-G3 into different diameters and independently driving upper and lower rolls 11, 12 so that the upper and lower bottom circumferential speed of the edging calibers G1-G3 are approximately equal (first stage). Next, the asymmetrical wide flange rough billet 40 is formed by repeatedly reducing the dog-bone-shaped billet 30 in the thickness direction by using a forming caliber G4 (Second stage). On the way of this second stage, by making upper and lower rolls 11, 12 independently drive so that the upper and lower circumferential speed of the edging caliber G3 is different and edging the material 35 to be rolled on the way of rolling or after rolling with the forming caliber G4 by using the edging caliber G3, the bend of the material 35 to be rolled is straightened.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
