PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the permeability, diffusibility and retention ability of disinfection alcohol into materials to be disinfected to modify into a disinfectant capable of developing an excellent sterilizing or disinfecting effect, to find a means by which a disinfectant can simply be prepared on the site of actual disinfection in response to the material to be disinfected, and to provide a sterilization or disinfection method employing the means and capable of simply performing sterilization works.;SOLUTION: This additive for being added to sterilizers or disinfectants containing alcohol as a main component to improve the performances, such as permeability, diffusibility and retention ability, is characterized by containing three of ethyl alcohol, benzalkonium chloride and water. The sterilization or disinfection method is characterized by charging a material to be disinfected, such as bedding, into a closed sterilization or disinfection chamber, closing the chamber, and then adding the additive to the alcohol jetted into the sterilization or disinfection chamber with carbon dioxide to give a concentration of an explosion limit or less.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
