PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plaster material whose main raw material is calcium carbonate and which is obtained by firing scallop shells at a low temperature, then pulverizing the fired shells, and adjusting the particle size of the obtained powder of the scallop shells; and to provide plaster and a tile in each of which the powder of scallop shells is mixed, and which not only use the plaster material as a raw material but also utilize effectively the moisture control action, deodorant action, and antifungal and antibacterial actions of scallop shell, and have unique feeling.;SOLUTION: The plaster material contains, as a main component, the powder of scallop shells in an amount of 40-60 mass%, and the powder of scallop shells has a maximum particle diameter of 2 mm and is composed of 50-70 mass% of powder under 425 μm sieve and 5-25 mass% of powder under 75 μm sieve. The tile containing the powder of scallop shells contains, by mass, 40-60% powder of scallop shells, 20-40% slaked lime, 5-15% white cement, 1-10% lightweight aggregate, and 1-10% other components such as fibers for plaster or a pigment.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
