PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reduction in a bearing characteristic, and to stabilize the bearing characteristic, by restraining generation of a burr and deformation on the outer peripheral side of a dynamic pressure generating groove, in a fluid dynamic pressure bearing mechanism.;SOLUTION: This fluid dynamic pressure bearing mechanism 40 has a baseplate 20 as a stationary member having a cylindrical sleeve 42, a rotor 30 as a rotary member having a shaft 41 relatively rotatably arranged on the inner peripheral side of the sleeve, and a bearing housing 44 arranged on the stationary member side being the outer peripheral side of the sleeve. The bearing housing 44 has a flange part 47 having a thrust bearing surface 47d opposed in the axial direction to the rotary member. A thrust bearing surface 47d of the flange 47 is formed with a plurality of first dynamic pressure generating grooves 47a and an annular flat surface 47b on the outer peripheral edge.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
