METHOD FOR INSPECTING RISK OF OCCURRENCE OF LIVER DISORDERS WHICH ARE SIDE EFFECTS OF TICLOPIDINE HYDROCHLORIDE

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To elucidate genetic factors on expression of liver disorders frequently reported on Japanese in serious three side effects (thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura, serious liver disorder, and agranulocytosis) caused by administering ticlopidine hydrochloride, in the country. PSOLUTION: The relashionship between genes relating to drug metabolism, immunological parameter and expression of liver disorders are mainly inspected by collecting blood samples of Japanese case which expresses liver disorders caused by administration of the ticlopidine hydrochloride (liver disorder group) and control blood samples of Japanese case which do not express any harmful phenomenon on administration of the ticlopidine (control group). A statistically significant correlation was found out between genotypes of HLA (Human Leukocyte Antigen) and liver disorder expression by ticlopidine hydrochloride. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
