DRINKING DETECTING DEVICE, DRUNKEN DRIVING PREVENTION SYSTEM, AND DRIVER REPLACEMENT PREVENTING MEANS

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect alcohol concentration of a driver himself/herself, to make driving of an automobile impossible without stopping the engine even when alcohol is detected, and furthermore, to detect replacement of a driver. PSOLUTION: In this drunken driving prevention system, a drinking detecting device is provided with a first detecting means for detecting pulse and alcohol concentration from a gear of a vehicle, a second detecting means for detecting pulse of a person sitting on the driver seat, and a drunken driving detecting means for determining that the driver gets drunk when both the pulses are determined as the pulse of the same person on the basis of results of two detections of the pulses and when the alcohol concentration is larger than a reference value. When drunken driving is detected, a vehicle control means locks the gear so as to make driving impossible, and furthermore, replacement of the driver can be detected based on a change of a load applied to the driver seat.
