PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing food and drink highly containing high concentration -aminobutyric acid which has high conversion efficiency from glutamic acid to -aminobutyric acid, free from the need of addition of an extra raw material and has an easy manufacturing process, and to provide the food and drink highly containing -aminobutyric acid. PSOLUTION: This method for producing the food and drink highly containing -aminobutyric acid comprises fermenting a tomato processed product which has a filtrate coloring degree of 0.02-0.2 when adjusting sugar content to 3% with lactic acid bacteria.
