SAFETY SYSTEM FOR PEDESTRIAN IN TUNNEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety system for a pedestrian in a tunnel which is constructed in the tunnel simply and easily and notices and alerts an existence of the pedestrian to all drivers of vehicles which pass in the tunnel.;SOLUTION: The safety system for the pedestrian in the tunnel is arranged in at least one of right and left verges of a roadway inside the tunnel and comprises a plurality of mat sensors lined up to a roadway construction-extending direction and light sources for the pedestrian which are electrically connected to the mat sensors, fixed to a wall face inside the tunnel, and lined up to the roadway construction-extending direction. The plurality of mat sensors detect a weight of the pedestrian. A mat sensor among the plurality of mat sensors which has detected the weight of the pedestrian blinks the light source for the pedestrian which is electrically connected to the mat sensor having detected the weight of the pedestrian among the plurality of light sources for the pedestrian. The existence of the pedestrian who is passing is indicated to the drivers by the blinking light source for the pedestrian.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
