PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for accurately and repeatably setting a depth of a probe in a combustion dynamics monitoring system or the like.;SOLUTION: A kit 100 for setting the depth of the turbine probe includes a male measurement jig 110 having an extended leg 160 and an alignment barrel 120, and a female measurement jig 300 having a depth rod 340. A method for disposing the probe 360 at the target depth within a turbine casing 230 having a liner 260 comprises the steps of; measuring a distance from a port fitting 280 to the liner 260 by using a first tool 110; manipulating the first tool 110 so as to indicate the distance; fitting the first tool into a second tool 300; manipulating the second tool so as to internally indicate the distance; removing the first tool from the second tool; fitting the probe into the second tool and the port fitting; and manipulating the port fitting so as to indicate the distance.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
