PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile body detection system, capable of accurately detecting position data in a target area of each mobile body from image data having a planar image structure taken by an imaging camera device.;SOLUTION: The mobile body detection system S comprises the imaging camera device 100 for imaging the target area and outputting dynamic image data; and the mobile body detector 200 for detecting a mobile body moving in the target area and a position of this mobile body in the target area. The mobile body detector 200 calculates, with respect to an image constituted by taken image data, a color content of pixel for every pixel, and detects presence or absence of the mobile body for every pixel group consisting of a plurality of pixels based on a background image in a predetermined area including no mobile body based on the calculated color contents, and detects a position of each mobile body in the predetermined area based on the central pixel of a pixel group where the presence of the mobile body is recognized.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
