PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quantum operation circuit which has quantum bit elements being easily coupled each other by a large coupling force. PSOLUTION: The quantum operation circuit adjusts a coupling force between a pair of superconducting charge quantum bit elements (superconducting quantum box electrodes 101, 102) by electrically controlling a two-dimensional electron gas layer electrostatically coupled to the pair of bit elements (superconducting quantum box electrodes 101, 102). To this end, the two-dimensional electron gas layer is provided within a mesa 111 (mesa structure) for coupling the bit elements, and the superconducting quantum box electrodes 101, 102 and an electron gas excluding electrode 112 are located on the two-dimensional electron gas layer of the mesa 111 (mesa structure). In this structure, an electrostatic capacity between the two-dimensional electron gas and the ground is variably controlled by setting a voltage to the electron gas excluding electrode 112 at a suitable level and applying the voltage thereto.
