PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable explicitly identifying network equipment without providing a database server for IPv6 addresses.;SOLUTION: The network equipment connected to an IPv6 network retains an IPv6 address set for address management in the network. An interface ID 12 in the IPv6 address includes manufacturer ID 13, management ID 14, equipment ID 15, and function ID 16. To the manufacturer ID 13, manufacturer information retained by the network equipment manufacturer is given. To the management ID 14, a number representing management by an equipment type is given as a number representing a management system type of the equipment is given. To the equipment ID 15, numbers respectively representing an equipment type 17, a product type 18 and a product serial number 19 are given.
