PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method for manufacturing an acrylic acid higher alcohol ester and a methacrylic acid higher alcohol ester by a transesterification reaction between methyl acrylate and methyl methacrylate, respectively, and a higher alcohol as raw materials.;SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the higher alcohol ester comprises subjecting the raw materials comprising methyl acrylate or methyl methacrylate and a 2C or higher alcohol to the transesterification reaction while selectively separating by-produced methanol using a gas separation membrane and drawing it out to the outside of the reaction system.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
