PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a neutron beam shielding structure and a method of building the neutron beam shielding structure capable of reducing cost by forming concrete from normal concrete, and absorbing neutron by a sheet efficiently.;SOLUTION: This neutron beam shielding structure 1 has a characteristic wherein the sheet 7 including boron is provided on the outer surface 6 of concrete 5 of a building 4 having a room 3 wherein a radiation source 2 is installed. For example, the sheet 7 including boron is installed on the inner surface of a formwork forming the outer surface 6 of the concrete 5, and then freshly mixed concrete is placed in the formwork, to thereby organize the neutron beam shielding structure 1 by the concrete 5 and the sheet 7 bonded to the outer surface 6 of the concrete 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
