PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resolver fault diagnostic circuit reducing its power consumption by performing the fault diagnosis of a disconnection or the like of an output winding of the resolver with a simple circuit constitution, and realizing a cost reduction and a reliability improvement of the resolver fault diagnostic circuit. PSOLUTION: In a resolver signal input circuit for receiving a signal output from the resolver outputting a signal of the rotation angle responding to the rotation angle from the output winding responding to the rotation of a rotor, the resolver signal input circuit at least comprises an amplifier circuit 20 and a differential amplifier circuit consisting of a plurality of resistors for inputting the signal from the resolver into the amplifier circuit 20. At least on one side of two input terminals of the amplifier circuit 20, a voltage through at least one of two or more resistors is applied. When an amplitude of an output voltage of the resolver signal input circuit is below a predetermined value, and a deviation between a central voltage of the output voltage and the central voltage of a normal operation exceeds the tolerance range, the output winding is determined as the fault.
