PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing benzene and a high quality gasoline base material having a high octane value from a petrochemical raffinate as a raw material.;SOLUTION: This method for producing benzene and a gasoline base material from a petrochemical raffinate is characterized by sequentially having a process for mixing the petrochemical raffinate having a constant property and by-produced in an olefin-producing facility with a desulfurized heavy naphtha and catalytically reforming the mixture, a distillation process for dividing the reformed gasoline obtained in the reforming process into light, middle and heavy fractions, an aromatic extraction process for separating benzene from the middle reformed fraction in the distillation process, a distillation process for dividing the extraction residue obtained in the extraction process into light and heavy fractions, a process for mixing the light fraction obtained in the isomerizing the light fraction obtained in the distillation process for the distillation process for the extraction residue with desulfurized light naphtha and then isomerizing the mixture, and a process for mixing the isomerized product obtained in the isomerization process with the heavy fraction of the distillation process for the extraction residue.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
