PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To analyze a vibration characteristic and a sliding characteristic of a sliding earth mass and a structure.;SOLUTION: A single-degree-of-freedom vibration system composed of a mass point, a spring, a dash pot and a slider, is constructed as a mathematical model, and behavior of a vibration/sliding model is numerically analyzed under earthquake motion being an object. " An earthquake sliding response spectrum " is provided from the relationship between a natural frequency, a sliding allowance degree and a sliding quantity of a vibration/sliding system on the basis of an analytical result. The natural frequency and vibration damping for regulating a characteristic of the spring and the dash pot, are determined as a parameter for expressing a vibration characteristic of an analytical object, and the sliding allowance degree is also determined for expressing sliding in an earth body and sliding of the structure. A vibration component of water pressure and earth pressure acting on the earth body and the structure, is taken into consideration in the shape of additional mass in a comparison with inertial force. Thus, the mass, the natural frequency and the sliding allowance degree of the earth mass and the structure are properly corrected. The sliding quantity in predetermined earthquake motion of the vibration/sliding system being an object is estimated from the earthquake sliding response spectrum on the basis of the corrected natural frequency and sliding allowance degree.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
