PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive circuit for a light-emitting element, which can correct variations in the light-emission characteristics of the individual light-emitting elements, without changing the pulse width of a driving signal supplied to the light-emitting element, a control method for the drive circuit, a display unit equipped with the drive circuit, and an electric appliance equipped with the display unit.;SOLUTION: This drive circuit comprises: the plurality of light-emitting elements which are arranged in line, and which each have the amount of light emission controlled depending on a current value and the pulse width, constituting the driving signal; a pulse control means for controlling the current value of the driving signal; and a driving means for supplying the driving signal to each of the light-emitting elements.
