METHOD AND DEVICE USING HIERARCHICAL TEST DEVELOPMENT TREE TO SPECIFY DEVICES AND THEIR TEST SETUP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a time-intensive process, when an electric apparatus including a system and a component such as a circuit board, an integrated circuit, or an SOC (System-On-a-Chip) is usually tested to determine whether the device is built or functions according to the design before manufacturing and/or shipping the device.;SOLUTION: A computer program is provided with a code 102 of displaying a hierarchical test development tree 200 in a graphical user interface (GUI) 202 of an automatic test development environment. The hierarchical test development tree 200 has a node 204 to which device branches 206, 208, 210 and 212 corresponding to a plurality of tested devices (DUTs) are added. The computer program also has a code 104 of automatically relating a pin constitution branch 214 and a test setup branch 216 with respective device branches 206-212, and a code 106 of responding to communication between a user and the branches 206-216 of the test development tree 200 and displaying some windows 220 for specifying the DUTs and their test setup.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
