PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably manage data in a portable sound recording and reproducing device by using table-of-content information or the like outputted from external equipment even when sound data are acquired by analog.;SOLUTION: The sound recording and reproducing device which has a storage means for storing sound data and reproduces sound on the basis of the sound data, comprises a sound data acquisition means for acquiring the sound data from the external equipment, a table-of-content information acquisition means for acquiring the table-of-content information of the sound data from the external equipment, a track information extraction means for extracting the track information of the sound data from the table-of-content information, and a storage control means for dividing the sound data on the basis of a time length for each piece of the sound data indicated by the track information, generating files for the respective divided data and storing them in the storage means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
