PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component catalog creating system for automatically creating a component catalog from three-dimensional model data, and its method, program and storage medium.;SOLUTION: This system comprises a storage unit 20 for storing three-dimensional model data of an assembly, and a single image creating section 21 for creating each single image of each component from the three-dimensional model data in response to a component catalog creating request, and a boundary information creating section 22 for creating boundary information on each component when the assembly is illustrated from the three-dimensional model data in response to the component catalog creating request. The system also comprises an assembly image creating section 23 that determines whether component images of respective components overlap each other based on the boundary information, creates one assembly image where all component images are highlighted when any component images do not overlap each other, and creates a plurality of assembly images where overlapping component images are highlighted, respectively when some component images overlap each other.
