PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maximum economy calculating apparatus, a method and a program regarding power generation which optimize midnight discount and a fire power reservation capability, based on the pumped-storage power generation capacity and a pumped-storage power generation capacity limit, and determine the midnight discount and the fire power reservation capability for minimizing a fuel cost of the fuel power generator.;SOLUTION: The maximum economy calculating apparatus is provided with a first power generation summing/calculating section 15 for setting power generator-related information on the fuel power generator, a water pumping time, a pumped-storage power generation time, the arbitrary midnight discount and the arbitrary fire power reservation capability, and calculating the total midnight power generation for the preset water pumping time; a second power generation summing/calculating section 16 for calculating the total daytime power generation for the preset pumped-storage power generation time; a first fuel cost calculating section 17 for implementing an optimal load balance by using an equi-increment fuel cost method and calculating a first fuel cost, based on the total midnight and daytime power generation; a correction section 18 for correcting the total midnight and daytime power generation; a second fuel cost calculating section 19 for implementing the optimal load balance by using the equi-increment fuel method and calculating a second fuel cost based on the total midnight and daytime power generation corrected by the correction section 18; and a correction calculating section 20 for calculating corrections for the preset midnight discount and fire power reservation capability.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
