METHOD FOR INCREASING PRODUCTION OF SEMEN AND METHOD FOR IMPROVING QUALITY OF SEMEN

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide food and drink containing an enhancing agent of volume of semen, total number of sperm and virility of the male of a human being and an animal. PSOLUTION: A prepared product for a human being or livestock contains at least one type of xanthophyll such as astaxanthin. The effective dose of the prepared product is administered to the male of a human being or livestock. It is preferable to let the astaxanthin exist in a form of esterification with fatty acid, for instance a form of algae dining produced by culture of algae Haematococcus sp. Furthermore, at least one type of xanthophyll such as astaxanthin is used for preparing the prepared product for a human being or livestock to enhance volume of semen, total number of sperm and virility of the male of a human being and an animal.
