The photoelectric conversion layer 4 can be formed through a process obtaining aggregate particles by aggregating particles of electron transport material, a process carrying dye in the aggregate particles, and a process dispersing the aggregate particles carried with dye into a dispersion medium and obtaining the composition for forming the photoelectric conversion layer.
