PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent scattering and drying of soil and to actualize sound growth of plants in formation of a greenland on a building. PSOLUTION: A greenland A has a water storage base 3 placed on a bed structure 1 to become a supporting surface, soil supporting members 4 housed in the water storage base 3 and having a top surface 4a higher than a water level 9 in full water, a filter 5 covering the top surfaces 4a of the soil supporting members 4, having edge parts 5a arranged to reach water storage parts 3d and a soil retaining function and a water absorption function and a soil mat 6 placed on the upper part of the filter 5 and constituted by storing soil 6b in a storage body 6a having a water absorption function.
