PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a subporphyrin compound having a specific structure.;SOLUTION: A triaryl subporphyrin compound expressed by general formula (2) is produced by using a compound expressed by general formula (1). In the formulas, R1 to R6 are each independently hydrogen atom, an aromatic group optionally having substituents or a 0-20C non-aromatic substituent; R1 and R2, R3 and R4, and R5 and R6 may be bonded together to form a ring; Ar1 to Ar3 are each independently an aromatic group which may have substituents; M is two hydrogen atoms or a bivalent or multivalent cationic atom; when the cationic atom is ≥3 valent atom, the compound may further contain a ≤20C counter anion.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
