PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for measuring conjugated diolefine content of gasoline more rapidly than a chemical analytical method with better reproducibility by means of determining MAV or modifying the MAV based on PIR spectra. PSOLUTION: The method for controlling and regulating a selective hydrogenation apparatus of an olefine-containing gasoline fraction comprises a process of sampling in a predetermined frequency at an inlet- and outlet-port of the apparatus, analyzing the samples based on adsorption in the PIR spectrum in a range of 800-2,500 nm, calculating MAVSBPIR/SBof a sample at the inlet- and outlet-port by treating the PIR spectrum enlisting the aid of correction base and specific pretreatment, obtaining an amount of hydrogen to be introduced into the apparatus based on a MAVSBPIR/SBof an entering sample and a flow rate of a charged material, and utilyzing the MAVSBPIR/SBas a command value in the first modulation loup of the MAVSBPIR/SBat the inlet-port.
