PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a conventional fading detection means takes a long fading detection time when a fading frequency is low. PSOLUTION: A fading detection method disclosed herein includes: a sampling step 103 for acquiring a signal level of a received signal detected by a detector for a predetermined time and storing the acquired level to a memory; a variation amount calculation step 104 for calculating a variation amount of a plurality of consecutive levels stored in the memory thereafter; and a count step 105 for counting the number of times of discrimination results of the variation amount to be lower than a predetermined threshold value for the predetermined time above thereafter, and since the fading frequency can be detected without the need for measuring a time between bottoms of the frequency waveform in this way, the detection time can be reduced even when the fading frequency is small.
