METHOD FOR ACCEPTING SCRAP WHILE SELECTING AND REMOVING RADIOACTIVITY-CONTAINING SCRAP

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which in the case of accepting scrap, in order to efficiently performing the accepting work, a personal computer is used and in the case of no person being in charge of acceptance, the accepting work is performed by a truck driver, and in the case of detecting radioactivity, the acceptance can surely be refused. PSOLUTION: When the scrap carried by the truck, is weighed for accepting as a steelmaking raw material, the loaded weight of the scrap together with the truck, is weighed by a weighing device 1 and the radioactivity detection in the scrap is performed by the set radioactivity measuring apparatus 2. A radioactivity detecting signal obtained by the detection is inputted into the personal computer 3 by the truck driver, and in the case of detecting the radioactivity, a buzzer 4 is sounded and a patrol light 5 is switched on and off by automatically transmitting the detection result to the working place of the accepting person in charge from the personal computer, and the acceptance of the scrap is refused by simultaneously showing refusal to accept the scrap on the panel of the personal computer, and only the scrap in which the radioactivity is not detected is accepted.
