PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small antenna assembly switching directivity at high speed and transmitting/receiving signals under the optimal conditions by suppressing interference of other signals, and also to provide a directivity control method thereof.;SOLUTION: In the antenna assembly A to which power is supplied from a coaxial line 1 via a connection part 5 with the coaxial line 1, it is constructed of: a directivity variable antenna 4 having a variable means 7 for changing electric field distribution formed in the coaxial line 1 at the connection part 5 or in its vicinity; and a directivity control part 9 which determines the direction of the directivity according to a transmitting/receiving state of a radio signal of the directivity variable antenna 4, and controls the directivity.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
