PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting structure of a boiler capable of suppressing deflection generated by deformation of the supporting structure less than a certain value by having sufficient bending strength and securing sufficient bending rigidity, and reducing mass of the supporting structure.;SOLUTION: This horizontal backstay structure is provided on a water cooled wall surface and/or cage wall surface of the boiler. A thickness of a total of both end parts 2×L1 of an end part L1 to a total length L in an axial direction of a horizontal backstay is smaller than a thickness of a center part of a remaining of the total length L in the axial direction. The thickness of the horizontal backstay is a thickness of a web part which connects two flange part and flange part of a wide flange beam.
