PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method with which it can be monitored with high reliability whether the top of a mast of a vessel comes close to a critical surface under an airplane take-off/landing course when the airplane take-off/landing course of an airport intersects with a vessel course.;SOLUTION: The system is provided with an AIS (automatic identification system) receiver 2 for receiving an MMSI number, the present location of a vessel and the present traveling direction and speed transmitted by radio from a device of a vessel automatic identification system AIS standard, a vessel mast height database device 3 for storing the MMSI number and a mast height relation value while associating the MMSI number with the related value to make them retrievable, a sea surface height output device 4 for outputting sea surface height around the airplane departing/landing course, and a controller 1 for calculating the position of a mast top of the vessel from the mast height related value retrieved from the received MMSI number with the vessel mast height database device 3 and sea surface height, predictively calculating the future position of the vessel from the present location and traveling direction and speed of the vessel, and discriminating whether the top of the mast comes close to the critical surface under the airplane take-off/landing course.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
