PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for treating liquid-waste containing a hexavalent selenium ion, wherein the deterioration of the liquid waste processing efficiency can be restrained.;SOLUTION: The method for treating liquid-waste containing the hexavalent selenium ion comprises a step of bringing the liquid-waste containing the hexavalent selenium ion into contact with a reducing member formed by using a metal having the ionization tendency larger than that of the hexavalent selenium ion to ionize the metal and reduce the hexavalent selenium ion in the liquid-waste into a tetravalent selenium ion or metallic selenium. The liquid-waste containing the hexavalent selenium ion is brought into contact with the vibrated reducing member to reduce the hexavalent selenium ion in the liquid-waste into the tetravalent selenium ion or metallic selenium.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
