PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a metallocene-including carbon cluster utilizable as a spintronics element. PSOLUTION: A carbon cluster 102 and a solid metallocene 103 are put in a heating container 101 and this heating container is evacuated and then heated so that the metallocene 103 evaporates and becomes metallocene vapor 104. At this time, the evaporated metallocene 104 enters into the carbon cluster 102 and a metallocene-including carbon cluster is formed. The carbon cluster is taken out, immersed, e.g., in alcohol, and agitated to remove the metallocene sticking to the outside of the carbon cluster 102. When a ferromagnetic metal-including carbon cluster is formed, the formed carbon cluster is returned to the heating container 101 and this heating container is evacuated and heated at a temperature at which the metallocene dissociates. At this time, the metallocene in the carbon cluster dissociates to release carbon and hydrogen, whereby the ferromagnetic metal-including carbon cluster is formed. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
