MANUFACTURING METHOD OF PIECE ASSEMBLING TYPE TIRE MOLD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a piece mold assembling type tire mold capable of casting and forming the tire mold in a state that a predetermined gap shape is imparted without machining the mutual fitting surfaces of piece castings.;SOLUTION: A design surface original mold, in which a design surface shape of one pitch unit and a plurality of side surface-shaped grooves of both ends of the design surface shape are carved, and a side surface original mold are manufactured. Respective rubber molds are reversely manufactured from these original molds and a necessary number of design surface casts and side surface casts are manufactured from the rubber molds by casting reversal. After the casts are baked/dried, the design surface casts are assembled in a ring form and the side surface casts corresponding to the design surface casts are fitted in and fixed to the groove parts of the design surface casts without forming a gap. The outer peripheries of them are surrounded by a casting frame and a molten metal is cast in the casting frame to cast and manufacture a ring casting wherein piece molds are connected in a ring form. The ring casting is dimensionally corrected and its outer periphery is processed by a lathe. After a necessary number of piece mold shapes are obtained, the piece molds are assembled in a holder.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
