PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a beautiful skin promoter that improves moisture and firmness of the skin and has preventing/ameliorating action on chapped skin, fine wrinkles, etc., by oral intake or skin application. PSOLUTION: N-Acetyllactosamine and/or lactosamine is used as the active ingredient of the beautiful skin promoter. Further at least one kind selected from N-acetylglucosamine, glucosamine, chondroitin sulfate, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, etc., may be used. The form of the beautiful skin promoter is preferably tablet, capsule, powder, granule or liquid. In the beautiful skin promoter, N-acetyllactosamine and/or lactosamine being the active ingredient is quickly absorbed and a part of it is used as a raw material for an acidic mucopolysaccharide such as hyaluronic acid, chondroitin sulfate, etc., by oral intake or skin application.
