PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marine propulsion plant capable of always sufficiently generating power regardless of vessel speed and superior in energy efficiency.;SOLUTION: This marine propulsion plant 1 is furnished with a high pressure turbine 10 rotated by steam from a boiler, a reheater 15 to heat exhaust steam from the high pressure turbine 10, an intermediate pressure turbine 11 and a low pressure turbine 12 rotated by the steam heated by the reheater 15, a propeller 7 driven by rotating power of each of the turbines 10, 11, 12, a speed reducer 5 to transmit the rotating power of each of the turbines 10, 11, 12 to the propeller 7 and a main spindle 20 and a main spindle generator 22 connected to the main spindle 20 and to generate power by using the rotating power of each of the turbines 10, 11, 12, and it is characteristically provided with auxiliary steam turbine generators 24a, 24b to be driven by the steam extracted from the exhaust steam of the high pressure turbine 10.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
