PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation control method for an inflow gate, which makes it unnecessary for drainage pump equipment to dispose of suspended matter becoming a hindrance to the operation of a drainage pump when the drainage pump equipment is put into an operating state, and the drainage pump equipment.;SOLUTION: The drainage pump is operated in a state in which a lower end of the inflow gate 5 provided in the entrance of the inflow channel 4 of the drainage pump equipment is made lower than a water surface. This prevents the suspended matter 13 from flowing into the inflow channel 4. In this case, the suspended matter 13 is stored downstream from a branch stream 2 until a decrease in the water level of a main stream can bring about a gravity flow.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
