PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-sustaining device system, capable of comparatively fabricating a device as a clean energy-acquiring means that is an alternative to fossil fuel, having high productivity of energy and supplying power even in a dark place.;SOLUTION: A stress-luminescent power generation system 10 is provided with a stress-induced luminescent body 1 containing a stress-luminescent material emitting a light, in response to mechanical stress; and a photoelectric conversion means, provided with a photoelectric conversion section 2 for converting optical energy into electrical energy and paired electrodes 3a, 3b that are electrically connected to the photoelectric conversion section 2, where the stress-induced luminescent body 1 and the electrode 3b are arranged so that they contact each other. The system 10 generates power, in such a way that the light emitted from the stress-induced luminescent body 1, applied with mechanical stress, is converted into electricity by the photoelectric conversion means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
