PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating material composition for construction that can generate a negative ion very well indoors, exhibits excellent antibacterial and mildew-proofing effects, absorbs and decomposes malodorous components and harmful substances and is easy to handle on application. PSOLUTION: The coating material composition for construction comprises diatomaceous earth, a silicate ore and a cerium salt. Preferably, the coating material composition for construction further comprises silica sand. The coating material composition for construction further comprises clay and an acrylic resin emulsion.
