PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit rapidly the heat generated during adsorption or occlusion of hydrogen gas out of the hydrogen storage tank. PSOLUTION: A hydrogen storage tank 10 has an aluminum-alloy-made container body 12 and a stainless-steel-made cylindrical filter 14, with a flat-plate-like member 26 arranged between the container body 12 and the cylindrical filter 14. Two or more disk-shaped plates 18 are engaged mutually in parallel within the cylindrical filter 14, and the side peripheral wall of each disk-shaped plate 18 is brought in contact with the inside peripheral wall of the cylindrical filter 14. A hydrogen adsorption molding is contained in the containing chamber 20 formed between the disk-shaped plates 18 and between the uppermost disk-shaped plate 18 and the lid member 16. In the container body 12, a hollow cylindrical tube 24 is arranged so as to penetrate each containing chamber 20, and a cooling medium is made to flow through the hollow cylindrical tube 24.
